That sounds like a fun idea, drawing other peeps characters in bathing suits and undergarments~ X3
My favourite one is the one that you say you aren't crazy about! I just like the anatomy on it and how you drew his face! XD
My professor says its fine to draw from photos as long as you make it yours (as we all know) and understand the basic structure of the human body. It's difficult to find a life drawing class and it's also expensive so it makes sense to not draw from life.
I also find that drawing nudes in real life is better than drawing those clothed because when they have clothing on it's hard to tell the form of their body and there are way too many details. It simplifies things (but I'm just ranting now...)
