I know this veriety has already been suggested, but I'd definitely reccomend sticking to pistols. If you don't want it too "girly" then stick to the same brand the police use. (Sorry, I forgot what caliber they use.) Of course, if you want to be a little adventerous, you COULD use a low-power rifle or a sawed-off shotgun. ^_~ (Just kidding about that last one. Those are WAAAAAAAAAAAY to dangerous for words. ^^;)

You could use a Derringer, those really small, easy-to-conceal pistols.
