Freaky Dream

I just had a really freaky dream. I was in Paris, under the Eiffel Tower eating a biscotti in an outdoor cafe. Like very typical European excursion type image from movies/tv shows. Sitting across from the green iron table (I KNOW SUCH DETAIL) was Riku in that typical French get-up, stripped shirt, tight black pants, ascot, and a beret. He had one of those twirly 'French' mustaches, and I was just eating my biscotti while he twirled it. Like we were just like, staring off into the distance, not even saying anything...

Writing Challenge

So... I had the sudden desire to write something macabre/horror-ish. I tend to enjoy fanfics the most that have that kinda heart-tugging/terrifying mix. Don't ask me why. A few weeks ago I really wanted to write a sci-fi fic, and I'm still struggling with that one.

Most of the stuff I write is comedy/romance. The 'gun' fic I'm currently working on is drama/romance/I don't know... kinda detective-ish?. So I'm trying to challenge myself by going into different categories. Suggestions? If you drop one in the comment box chances are I'll write a one-shot. I'm currently stalling on the gun fic cause I have to kill somebody off soon, and I don't wanna!

My five year old cousin introduced me to Poptropica a few weeks ago and I've been playing it like a mad woman. Only took me about two days to do all the mission stuff so now I'm just playing games with other players. Heres my avatar:

I'm kinda going for a super villian look. The only thing that stinks is that it took me FOREVER to find all these clothes and put it together, now people are stealing it from me. So I make my avatar cry whenever one of 'em does it and normally they change their clothes back. Like... just the hair or the skirt I'd be fine with... but the whole thing?

I've been watching Roswell on Hulu... its pretty slow right now. Kinda like Twilight without so much angst/self-hate and aliens instead of vampires. More plot, lots more plot. Still don't know how I feel about it though.

Hayato comes back tomorrow. Apparently he had 23 viriuses and one or more took out the sound. So... I'LL HAVE SOUND! My dad isn't sure if he's going to actually pay for the damage ($110) but I might be able to smooth talk it. He did buy my sister two laptops.... so... relatively cheap.

Okay, now I'm officially use to Firefox... I KNOW THERE'S GOTTA BE A TYPO IN THERE SOMEWHERE! On the bright side, not having my compy made me switch to my notebook. I've basically got the whole gun fic outlined. Roughly 20 chapters in total. Yeah... not even 1/2 way through. But with it mostly planned out I should be able to kick myself in the butt some more.

Computer Issues

Posting this from Mama's laptop.

I went to a computer repair shop today with my dad after he needled me into it. I didn't really want to go, but there was a promise of my sound finally being fixed so I went along with it. The other problem with my computer is that the hinge popped out. Apparently the pin got stuck and froze the mechinisim, locking it in place and finally popping out. Or something. So... the guy couldn't/wouldn't fix that. I mean it says 'repair' on the front window but... -sigh- So we'll be bugging HP to send us a part or hitting up Ebay in hopes of replacing it ourselves.

As for the sound... He basically mummbled some stuff and I don't think he can fix it. Apparently in Vista computers there are no sound drives, its all on the board. So if your sound is shot you're pretty much screwed. He did get the quickstart pad to go orange again... but that doesn't really do me any good, now does it? So if he can't fix it (which I'm thinking is likely) I'm just gonna go buy one of those external sound drives with the headphone jacks, which he suggested should work.

He then proceded to go "EW VISTA" "YOUR COMPUTER IS SO SLOW" "NORTON SUXZ" and "LOL, YOU HAVE VIRUSES." Okay... I personally like vista. I don't care, it runs the programs I want and looks pretty. So... shut up. Also, it would help if you turned the lappy off power saver, which does take performance down a heck of a lot. If I'm just on the net I do put it on power saver cause I don't need it to be lighting fast. Yeah... Norton does suck I'll let that slide. As for the viruses he was like "Oh we put freeware on there and it takes care of most of it...$110s, I'll have it to you by Monday." I CAN INSTALL FREEWARE! I DON'T NEED YOU TO DO THAT FOR ME! -rages-

Augh. Then he was like "Do you really need AIM and MSN?" And I was like "Yes..." "But do you use both of them?" "Yes." "Okay I'm gonna back off cause she's giving me the same look my wife does." Graaah! I don't think he understands that he was dissing MAH BABY. My cheap-ass baby that has issues, but we love and care for each other. DON'T DISS MAH BABY! So now poor Hayato is sitting in a shop all by his lonesome. Seriously... this will be our longest seperation.
