That's definitely something to think about. I do agree that 13 weeks to complete a series is already a long time. Personally, I don't have a problem with watching more episodes per week, but I never do anything Saturday nights, anyway, haha. Worth bringing up at the meeting this week, though. :O
I'm a little wary of jumping into something that long. A 26 episode series at 2 episodes per meeting takes 13 weeks to complete, which already seems like a long time to me. And 39 episodes would take 19 weeks. One thing I wanted to do with Anime Club was make sure that any single anime wouldn't drag on for too long so that even if someone didn't like the current ones being watched, they wouldn't have to wait forever for new ones to start.
I wonder if people would be up for 3 episodes per meeting so that we could fit 24+ episode series into shorter time spans. (Incidentally, that would bring Utena down to 13 weeks.) We could do a 2 + 3 format for 5 episodes total, or maybe 3 + 3 if people have time. And since dinner here has tended to be later and later on Saturdays anyway, I could probably also manage to start an hour earlier, at 6:00 PM Pacific.

Ooh, props for nominating Utena. Have you seen it before, or would it be your first time? (Side note: Watching Utena week-by-week would probably be the weirdest Anime Club experience imaginable.)
This is just making the potential choice that much harder ... (assuming the 39 episodes doesn't automatically disqualify it, haha).

I'll nominate Good Witch of the West.
OKAY. Since Nan is taking a page out of my book and being lazy, she wants to nominate Le Chevalier D'Eon

Gunbuster. The first series, not the new one (we can do that another time).

I'm just going to throw my support behind Shin's nomination of Genshiken.Scratch that, I'll toss in another nomination for Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight! to make Shin's head explode.

Well... I honestly have no suggestions this time around. I'll just wait until the voting starts then.
