Speaking of news reports and anime, I was once interviewed by our local paper about anime and manga and it's popularity in teen culture, and it was horrible because the reporter kept calling them "cartoons," and would ask things like "Do you feel that watching cartoons as a hobby makes it harder to fit in with normal people?" Needless to say it was a biased interview, and I stopped it after about 20 minutes, AND I was both misquoted, plus had my comments chopped to make me sound like I have no life or friends. I should have sued the sh!t outta of that woman.

Then again, this was the same woman who came to a drow D&D campaign we played to write about that, and pretty much reinforced everything people thought about D&D back in the 80's.
