It's a haven in the middle of a harsh, 9-to-5 world. A place where you can gather with your fellow human beings and bond over a paper cup full of cool refreshment.
All sorts of randomness is welcome here. Post pictures, videos, special Chat information, or just discuss news and current events.
I've been asked by OtakuAlchemist to post this message...
'Have you ever lost someone dear? A sibling, cousin, best friend? Well, on Saturday, the otaku community lost someone who, though not on this site, was someone who would have been your best friend right away, without knowing who you are or what your story is.
For the grieving family of Courtnei Lotridge, I want to put together a book of prayers for them from you Otakuites, the kindest subculture in the world. They need to know that people from all corners of the world are here for them, and they need to know as soon as possible, to help them get through these trying times.
And if you can't see yourself praying like this, put yourself in their shoes. Your sister, your daughter, your best friend, is gone. Forever. The hurt in your heart will never go away. Wouldn't you want someone to tell you that you're in their prayers?
Please PM your prayers to OtakuAlchemist, and be a part of piecing together the hearts of those who love her dearly.'
Ok we can lie and say no all we like but in one time or another every otaku falls in the same category the Anime Crush we all had one and some people to this day still have one. So come on people own up.
Who was your anime crush and why?
For me it was Kyo Sohma. I was actually in love with Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket I have no shame I am ok with it. He is cute and has that bad boy thing going on. Not to mention I loved his orange hair.
It's a personality test similar to the Myers-Briggs model. If you don't know what the Myers-Briggs test is, that's okay, they have the details on the site if you click "Carl Jung and Isabel Myers-Briggs typological approach". Basically, they categorize people under Extrovert or Introvert, Sensor or Intuitive, Thinker or Feeler, and Perceiver or Judger.
This is just a fun little activity. Takes maybe 10 minutes to fill out. If the results end up being close to your personality type, then sweet! If not, then we can poke fun at how inaccurate the test is.
Have fun. Don't cheat. And remember, the scales don't lie.

My Results:
Apparently, I'm an ISFJ. Here's some excerpts from one of the descriptions of my "type":
ISFJs are characterized above all by their desire to serve others, their "need to be needed." (Not too bad so far.)
ISFJs are often unappreciated, at work, home, and play. (What? Okay...)
In the workplace, ISFJs are methodical and accurate workers, often with very good memories and unexpected analytic abilities; they are also good with people in small-group or one-on-one situations because of their patient and genuinely sympathetic approach to dealing with others. (Heh, I like that.)
While their work ethic is high on the ISFJ priority list, their families are the centers of their lives. (All right, not too shabby.)
Like most Is, ISFJs have a few, close friends. They are extremely loyal to these, and are ready to provide emotional and practical support at a moment's notice. (Hurr, niiiiice~)
