What is the Watercooler?

It's a haven in the middle of a harsh, 9-to-5 world. A place where you can gather with your fellow human beings and bond over a paper cup full of cool refreshment.

All sorts of randomness is welcome here. Post pictures, videos, special Chat information, or just discuss news and current events.

Ringo Sings "Only You"

I'm thinking of posting some music videos of the old, classic songs here in The Watercooler. Not exactly the type of thing you normally equate with spicing up this place, but let's see how this goes.

Here is Ringo Starr's version of the Platters' song "Only You".

Now, the cover is pretty good, in my view. But if you're wondering why Ringo's singing this love song on top of a building in an alien suit and with a UFO, you can look it up here.

All You Eat Is Lunch

As Pinky and The Brain try to take over their world through yet another crazy plan, they cross paths with, you guessed it, The Beatles (or, in this case, The Feebles).

By the way, The Beatles actually did visit the Maharishi back in 1967 to have some Transcendental Meditation. So yeah, this episode did have its share of references that the kiddie audience wouldn't have understood. As for the song, it's "All You Need Is Love".

A Closer Look at the Beat-Alls

Anyone here remember that episode in the Powerpuff Girls cartoon wherein Mojo, Him, Fuzzy, and Princess joined forces against the Powerpuff Girls and became "The Beat-Alls"? As you may know, that episode was so full of Beatles references, a lot of it which would be left unnoticed to the younger audience who had little to no idea who the Beatles were (including me, when I was a kid).

Luckily, this video sums up all of those references. And I gotta say, I'm quite shocked that there were that much references in that episode:

Maxwell's Silver Hammer --- Animated

Here's that Beatles classic presented in a gruesome yet looney manner:

Rest in Peace, Light Yagami

Today is the day that Light Yagami died in the Death Note universe. With regards to that, here are his last moments to the tune of "Yesterday" by The Beatles.

Other tributes in the site can be seen through these four theOtaku cards, these two fanarts, and this invitation for a eulogy to Light. You can also view this other great AMV to the tune of "Sound of Silence".

Rest in peace, Light Yagami.
