True, David was brilliant, but this is the legacy of Doctor Who. No one man can stay in the role forever, and when one leaves the fans have to accept the change. It's testament to the longevity of the series that overall fans have stuck with it over decades of change. I've been watching it all my life, and I always feel excited and re-energized when these things happen. ^^

I'm quite optimistic. I recently ordered the latest issue of the Doctor Who Magazine, and in the Editor's note at the start of one he says that DWM has seen the first three episodes and they're amazing. X3
