Well, I joined my high school drama program just because I liked the show one year, and stayed in it ever since. Our high school is really known for the fine arts, so it made it pretty fun. Especially because we do one in the fall and one during the spring, so I was busy year around. I actually graduated in 2009. It wasn't that long ago, even if I make it sound like it is. -_-
Oh and I forgot to to say that your friends lives sound a lot like my friends lives. I just have to shake my head, give them a good talking to, and face palm when they do it again. I understand exactly what you're going through. Good luck my friend.
Don't worry about it. As I'm sure I've said before, everyone needs to rant. I know what you mean about the monotony though. High school was like that for me too. It was so boring, but I found my way of excitement. I'm sure eventually, you'll find yours.
