LoL, maybe it is, but it still varies by some stuff. But not much, I know that in America they like to put M for mature which is 17+, while here in Europe it is always 18+.
But other than that, I think that it is more confusing there. XD The hardest is with Australia, I think. They even ban many things that they think are 18+.
Ratings are sure a weird thing. Things in Austria, (where I used to live) even mild horror movies where +12. But then Anime or movies like Inuyasha are 18+ and on adult swim. Odd things. I guess America is much more into censorship than Europe is.
I know about these, but nothing here states. It might be based on the episodes, but I say it's funny cause movies have lower rating.
I don't know, I will check Japanese rating to see how they have. :P
It's still high, because like you said they censored much from the manga and yet it is that high. What, if they didn't it would be 18+? Too much, especially compared to some animes like Elfen Lied which are just 15+.
It goes that maybe some 13 year old would like to watch it, but can't cause he is not proper age. Though today, it doesn't really matter, cause you can either find it online or watch it on TV.
Hahaaa totally agree with you xD
It's almost like they're rating the volumes individually. Like one volume could be "For Older Teens", then the next volume could be "For Younger Kids"..............Which would be weird xD
Ahah, wow! That's pretty interesting! Maybe different countries have different standards for their age ratings? XD Not sure, but yeah, Elfen Lied is definitely one of the more inappropriate animes... But I took it rather well when I was like, 12. xDD
Yeah, it is quite weird. It seems that they can't figure what to put there, so they change it how they feel like it. I mean I understand when it come to different countries and regions, but when it is in the same then somethings fishy. XD
