Personally, I think one of the most important animes ever would either have to be Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2 because they both started different traits and fads, Sailor Moon giving us multiple versions of an original show and Ranma brought crossdressing, and extremely common feature in anime and extremely long running shows. I think an important anime would have to be Astro Boy because it was the first anime ever made. I'll come up with others in a little bit.
