The words good and well always pissed me off when I was writing stuff for English. I'd always question myself in the process of writing sentences. It's annoying.

For further explanation as to the correct use of adjectives vs. adverbs, the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang has a very amusing running gag about it. "Badly is an adverb. So to say you feel badly would be saying that the mechanism which allows you to feel is broken."

You have successfully blow away years of grammar lessons o_O I had no idea that it was actually this way. The more I read, the more confused I became.
I'm glad you pointed out the exception when describing physical health, because 'well' really does make more sense in that context.
