I enjoy reading third-person books, so I guess that's why I've always written in third-person. I've only tried to write in first-person a few times before, and I've always ran into problems with it.

Question may be random, but it's fair. As for a good answer, well, I can't really say I have one. There's no real "this would make a good first-person, and this would make a good third-person". Personally, I think you're actually pretty gutsy to default to third-person when others would do the opposite.

This is a bit random, but I just stumbled upon this World and figured I should ask a question. I'll try to word the question the best I can.

When starting a new piece of writing, how should you decide whether to write in first person or third person? I often write in third person, but then wonder whether the story would move along better in first.

Like I said, just a random question. :P
