“How much do you need?” Natalie had a look on her face. Was she going to ask her parents to loan it? then again, her parents are fairly rich. Did I Say Fairly? I mean really, really rich.
“Well, we haven’t paid rent for 3 months, and rent is 350 a month… plus 100 for utilities every two… Its about eleven hundred.” Lucy calculated.
“If you do get evicted, Lucy, you can live with me.” Dianne offered.
“No, She won’t be evicted. I’ll give you the money.” Natalie smiled generously, “And I know your going to be like, ‘No, No, its too much’ But really, its not. I’m from a freakishly wealthy family. I Mean, I begged them to get me a small apartment downtown here because I didn’t like being around them. Everything we apparently wanted was granted to us instantly, I didn’t like that.
“That life just wasn’t right, you know? I Get a thousand-dollar allowance every two months. I’m sure if I said a close friend was in major financial trouble they’d lend me enough money to help you out, Lucy.” Natalie was always like that, she really did hate that part of her life. She always would help with anything she could, including the entrance fee for this contest.
“Really? You would do that for me?” Lucy’s face was illuminated with relief. Natalie shrugged and nodded, Lucy hugged her. “Thank you so much!”
We continued on with practice. I Never let anybody kiss, though. I Wanted to save that for the real stage, make there be extra passion. Make it… fresher.
