Thank you, and it's okay. It's understandable. But over a pronunciation of a word. A food product. Gah. I mean, I have argued over and over again about pronunciations before but I have never gotten as mad as she did.
Thanks! And that's very cool! I just believe that people are very discrimitive against other cultures and if they'd learn about them and grow up learning about them, they wouldn't be so horrible. I am learning how to speak french, and there are a few people who make fun of that because of their cultures. Same thing happens when people in my school take german or spanish. You can't take German without SOME jerk calling you a nazi and you can't take spanish without someone making mexican jokes. I am taking both german and french, but I am in French II and German I.
You are right just so you know :)
I grew up in Austria, and people here are very serious about pronouncing stuff correctly. I just so happened to be talking to my Italian friend over skype when I read this, and yep. Its NOO-tella!
I think its pretty cool that you think that btw. I wish more people believed in embracing different cultures XD
Sorry I couldn't get back to you as soon as I could, I was at the movies.
But, yes, that is a little over the top.
But I've done dumber things, so I can't blame her.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm going to sleep, see you soon.
See, that's what I don't get! It was really stupid! She just turned around and looked at me and was all like "OH MY GOSH! I HATE IT WHEN YOU SAY THAT! IT'S NUH-TELLA NOT NOO-TELLA! BECAUSE THERE ARE NUTS IN IT!" or something VERY close to that. Like I said, I wasn't going to argue about something so ridiculously stupid. I really don't know what the big deal was, because it's just food. And it's delicious, so who cares how it's pronounced!

Well, I have been around people with heavy accents, so it doesn't bother me that much.
Also like on "Family Guy" where Brian is always asking Stewie "Why do you say it like that?" It's a little funny, though.

I always called it "noo-tella".
But WHY would your friend get so mad about that? I'm just curious.
