Damn. I can't even BEGIN to stress out how jacked up that is, and I've been through some stuff. I would tell your folks and try to get out of that church! I think that they are abusing their "Upper-class rights" or something like that to torture people. It's cruel, it drives people insane...I would report them to the Catholics, maybe they just need a good-old-fashioned excorcism.
