Hello, and welcome to Yamcha's Anime universe! Some of you may know me from visiting my Myotaku page (username: Yamchaa), but if you havent visited or dont know me, then thats cool too lol. Im a big anime fan and ive been one for as long as i can remember. I collect anime movies, magazines, figures, all things related to anime, and im proud to say that i have a pretty hefty and diverse anime collecion which is usually constantly growing, and with this new world i hope to make new friends and spread my knowledge of anime to whoever may need it ^_^
I was browsing through Youtube earlier and i came across some videoes of some older wrestling videogames that i happen to own, and so i came up with the idea to post pics and videos of them with a little description :)
Ill only post about the games i own - here are the games ill be posting about today :)
WCW vs. The World
This game is pretty special to mebecause i have an immense history with it dating back to 1997 lol. A friend of mine had a cousin that lived with him and in 1997 he bought the original Playstation right when it was just hitting the stores here in the U.S. This game along with Tomb Raider were some of the first games he bought. pretty much every weekend my friend would invite me over to his house and the 4 of us (me, my friend, his brother, and his cousin) would take turns playing games, and that is when this game became legendary lol. My friend and i would wage war - I would use red & Yellow Hulk Hogan, and he would use Black & White Sting. We all revelled in the fact that this game was 3D and each wrestler had over 30 moves, along with multiple special moves in different situations, and at the time it was just the coolest thing we had ever seen or known lol. Well as the years went on, my friend's cousin upgraded to the Playstation 2 (i was still on the original Playstation lol) and one day while i was staying at my friend's house he offered to seel me this game for 10$ because he knew it would be taken care of and appreciated in my ownership. I bought this game that day and ive had it ever since, and it will always be one of my favorite games :)
WCW Superbrawl Wrestling (SNES)
This game is pretty cool, I managed to buy this one at a pawn shop a few years ago for 6$ lol. I thought this game was pretty innovative because it had submission moves and special moves, plus you could get in and out of the ring and you could also do your special moves on the ground outside the ring lol. The only trouble i had with this game was that the controls are a bit hard to get use to. This game had alot of cool wrestlers in it though, and some cool special moves as well. it is certainly worth checking out for sure :)
WWF WarZone
WWF Warzone was the first big wrestling game to come out that was really different and new and cutting edge (at the time). there were alot of different match types including the Weapons Match (my favorite), and plenty of wrestlers to choose from - each with signiature and finishing moves. This game even had entrances! :) This was also the first game that i saw that had the Create A Wrestler option, which was the greatest thing ever at the time LOL. This was a solid game that really got the wrestling videogame industry moving ahead back in 1998. I may have to play this one later today LOL.

Today i havent been up to much, ive mostly just been watching an anime called Princess Nine. Ive had 2 dvds of this series for a few years now and i had never watched them, so i thought today would be a good day :) It has been a good series so far - even though it is dominated by females and female issues, it has still been enjoyable. I may try to make some Princess Nine wallpapers in the next couple of days :)
I also finished the Monster box set last night. It was a good box set and im certainly looking forward to the next box set, to see how things play out in the story.

Ive recently bought some new anime dvds, so im glad to be able to put up some pics in this post for you guys and possibly a little info in case any of you are looking to buy any of them for yourself. hopefully it will be of some help :)
Lately i havent really been up to much, mostly work, and ive also been haging out with my best friend alot. Last weekend i went to a KISS concert in Dallas, and it was really fun. It was awesome to actually see them live, and i actually got a seat that was pretty close :) i took alot of pictures and i even got some videos as well, so hopefully i can get those uploaded for you guys to check out soon :)
Ive also been playing quite a few games lately as well. I bought some new games and i havent played one of them yet (Unreal Tournament 3) so ill probably play that when im done posting lol.

Monster Season 1 box set
I bought this last thursday before i left work, and so far ive really been enjoying it. i had heard alot of people talking about it here on theotaku and when i saw it was a new release in our electronics department, i knew i wanted to pick it up. This Boxset #1 has 15 episodes on 3 discs and it cost 34$ at Wal Mart.
Evangelion 1.0

To be honest, when i bought this dvd, i had really high hopes - but when i watched it i actually became dissapointed. To make things short - its simply just a moviefied version of the first few episodes with some newly added segments and better quality animation. The cons about the whole thing is that the character Kaji was nowhere to be seen, spoken of, or heard about. i also noticed that some of the scenes he was a part of in the original Evangelion Series had somewhat been re-edited in a way where he was present. I havent looked up on it, but im really wondering why they would omit him like that - especially when he played such a big role in the series and he was tied to each character in some way. Otherwise, this dvd is what Hellsing Ultimate was for the Hellsing series - a re-edited/moviefied version of the first few episodes of the series, so i wouldnt get your hopes up for something spectacular unless you are big into Evangelion lol.
GIJOE Resolute
I found this dvd about a month ago one morning before i left work and it shocked me because i never knew that they had made a GIJOE anime movie lol. I bought it and came home and watched it, and i must say that i was pretty impressed :) The animation was good, the story was good and the action had been turned up quite a bit to the point that some characters died. Even for an old school GiJoe fan like me it was still cool to watch. The only drawback was that it was a bit short, but who knows - maybe there are sequels on the way, who knows lol. All in all it was a good movie and i reccomend it to any anime or GiJoe fan, thats for sure :)
Well, i suppose that will be all for today, i think im going to play a couple games and try to finish this MONSTER box set before i get too tired lol. It is good to post again and i hope you all enjoy it :)
Its been a really long time since ive posted, so i thought i would put up a post to let you all know that i'll be going to see the band KISS later tonight at the American Airlines Center.
as you all may or may not know, KISS is my favorite band and ive always wanted to see them live - and tonight i get my chance :)
Right now it looks like it is going to snow again, so im sure it is going to be pretty cold tonight lol. I'll be taking pictures if i can and ill be sure to post them up as soon as possible too.
I also have alot of anime, videogame and other random stuff to post about, such as what ive been up to, some of the new anime dvds and new games ive bought, so hopefully i wont be too tired to post about it all when i get home tonight lol.

Saturday morning before i left work (Wal-Mart), I was browsing the Men's shirts and i noticed that they are now selling Japanese Super Mario Bros. shirts, as well as DOMO t-shirts. There are also some Transformers Generation 1 shirts. I bought the Super Mario World shirt, and the Transformers shirt, and ill be buying the Domo shirt before i leave work tonight, so ill post pics of them in a post for you all tommorrow :)
