Reaching 80, and The Mistake

Hello everyone,

Ninja Scroll

Ninja Ressurection

Im glad to be back posting today :) I really hadnt planned on putting up a post today though, but after i watched Ninja Scroll and Ninja Ressurection last night, I realized i made an error in my post yesterday, so im here to fix it :)

Last night, while i was watching finishing watching Ninja Scroll, I went to a movie site that i usually visit, to check out reviews and summaries of the movies i watch. The site is called http://www.imdb.com. I usually go there to check out live actiom movie reviews, but ive recently noticed that they have profiles for anime films/series as well. Well to make a long story short, i went there and found the film profile for Ninja Ressurection, and i noticed that i had made a mistake.

I read that Ninja Ressurection IS (supposedly) NOT the sequel to Ninja Scroll. I felt bad that i had always believed it to be so and that i had been telling others that it was, so i decided to put up a post to let you all know what ive learned.

The main key points that people were claiming that voided it from being a sequel was that

1. The Jubei in Ninja Ressurection has a different last name
2. The Jubei in Ninja Ressurection has an eyepatch, which covers an eye that he injured when he was young

How the people concieved of reason #2 is beyond me, because as i watched Ninja Ressurection, I never saw anything that showed how he got the eyepatch, which leads me to believe that He Could be the same Jubei from Ninja Scroll, I mean whats from keeping a ninja for hire from using a fake last name and an eyepatch to conceal his identity?

On the movie site, i also noticed that there were alot of people that wrote some bad reviews for Ninja Ressurection. From what i could tell - most of them were angry because it wasnt the same as Ninja Scroll. Ill admit, this movie isnt the same as Ninja Scroll, it is its own movie and we cant take away from that just because alot of people want to compare it to others.

In My own opinion, after watching Ninja Ressurection, i enjoyed it as its own stand alone film. Id still like to mentally believe that it is somehow related to Ninja Scroll in some way, whether sequel or prequel, or alternate universe type story. Both Jubei characters do look similar, they both wear the brown gi, both facially look the same, (minus the eypatch), and their hair (though both in different styles) are the same color. This movie is violent, alot of people are killed, men, women, and frieghtenly enough - children even die. I wouldnt let anyone under the age of 17 see this movie because of its adult nature. One thing i did particularly like about the movie is that the music was done really well. Id say that it has some of the best music of alot of the anime movies ive seen. At the end of the movie, the words "To Be Continued" popped up at the bottom of the screen, so that leads me to believe that this movie has another part, or was never completed.

All in all, id reccomend it to any anime fan. Its a different movie than Ninja Scroll, and can be enjoyable if the viewer has an open opinion and is a fan of violence and ninja warfare. Id say that its up to each individual person to make their own assumptions about whether or not its the same Jubei in both of these movies, I think it could very well go either way and i feel that they are one in the same, i suppose because id always like to see Jubei in one adventure after the other :).

Other than the Ninja Scroll/Ressurection situation, I havent been up to much today. I made another wallpaper this morning which brings my total wallpaper count to 80, which is a pretty cool feat in my book, especially for someone like me who is picky about his creations and has to be in the mood to create something lol. Here is a clip of the wallpaper i created this morning :)

It was pretty fun to make. It had been itching me to make one of Mugen, since i had made of of Jin a week or so ago, so i hope you all enjoy :)

Well, i think that will be all for me today. Ill probably try to watch some more anime movies/episodes that i havent gotten to yet, so i can have something to post up tommorrow or later on in the week :) I thank you for visiting and i hope you all enjoyed the post.

If you have any questions regarding the Ninja Scroll/ Ninja Ressurection debate, feel free to send them to me and ill try to make as much sense of it as i can, so that i can help you out :)

Electronical Domination

This is a portrait of the Conan the Barbarian movie poster that i bought while at a movie store a few months ago. My webcam sucks but im sure you can see the general outline of the picture lol, tis one of my favorites so i thought id post it up lol.

Hello everyone, It looks like im back with another post lol. Im really glad the weekend is here, this past week seemed to drag on at work, so im glad its over thats for sure lol. I stayed home from work last night because i didnt feel right when i woke up yesterday afternoon. I was drowsy as if i had taken some medicine or something, but i hadnt taken anything so i decided to stay home. I wouldnt have been able to drive very well, so it was the safest bet to just call in and stay home. I didnt do much last night, I watched a couple of fights on the UFC Fight Night that was showing last night and I played WWF No Mercy on Nintendo 64 for a little bit before i got tired and went back to sleep lol. I woke up around 5am this morning and cleaned around my room a little bit, then i started working on my Videogame World :)

I took the time to add the lists of my Nintendo 64 games, my NES games and My SNES games on the Introduction of my Videogame world, so if you are interested or curious as to which games i own, you can find a list of them there. Feel free to send me any questions you may have and ill happily help you out with anything i can :) I hope you enjoy , its a blast from the past lol.

It took me about an hour or so to list the games for those systems, and while i was typing them out id occasionally hook up the system they were for and play them for a little bit lol. I played a little bit of StarFox 64, Castlevania for N64, and F-ZERO 64 and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of time. As of late ive been having quite a bit of fun playing my Nintendo 64. The gameplay on alot of the games are pretty fun and easy to catch onto. Lately ive been spending most of my time editing and updating the wrestler roster on WWF No Mercy, to give it a modern feel for when me and my co-worker play it at work, so it's been giving me something spend my time and escape boredom thats for sure lol.

Other than that i havent been up to much, besides taking it easy. Yesterday while i was cleaning, I took the time to watch Ninja Scroll. I ended up laying down and falling alseep before it was totally finished, so ill finish watching it today :) I really enjoyed it this time around, I remember the last time i watched it ( a few years ago when i first bought it), I didnt really understand alot about it, mainly because i didnt pay enough attention to the talking and interaction between the characters. I got a full understanding of the movie yesterday though, so ill probably be watching Ninja Ressurection (the sequel) later today to see how they fit together. Right now im watching Lethal Weapon 4, its been a while since ive watched it so i thought that since ive been watching Mel Gibson movies the past few days, why not stop? lol.

Well i suppose that will be all for today, I thank you all for visiting and i hope you enjoyed the post :) Be sure to visit my videogame world and check out my videogame lists in the introduction :) I hope to chat with you all soon :)

stay strong,

Yamcha Beyond Thunderdome

"When it's every man for himself............and there's no place left to run.....when all that's left is one last chance......pray that he's still out there - somewhere....."

Hello everyone,

It's good to finally post again, especially after being lazy the past few days lol. Saddly I dont really have anything interesting to post about, well anything that you all may be interested in hearing about anyways lol. Well some of you who are familar with older movies, and/or bigtime movie fans might find something interesting, who knows :)

This past week ive mostly just been working and then coming home and sleeping. there have been a couple of days where i caught up on some movies that i bought over the weekend. Over the weekend i got the chance to watch the copy of "The Breakfast Club" that i bought sometime last week. It was enjoyable, especially since i had only seen it on cable, so getting the chance to watch it uncut on dvd was pretty fun lol. Last week i also bought the movie "Wierd Science", which is one of my favorite movies of all time lol. I use to watch it when i was really young when it was shown on the cable channel "TBS". I use to watch that movie and wish it would happen to me lol. Oddly enough, the past couple of years ive found myself exactly in the same situation, except this woman wasnt computer created lol. Anyways, I considered myself lucky because i grabbed the last copies of each of these movies before i left work that day, and it felt really good to relive old memories and realize new goals and thoughts about the future :)

Tuesday while i was looking through movies on my shelf to find something to watch, i came across my vhs copy of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. It had been a year or so since i had watched it , plus i wanted to try out the old tape on my new vcr to see how it played. Im glad to say that it played great. Ive always really liked that movie, Im not sure why - maybe its just the thought of living in a post-apocalyptic world that intrigues me. I remember when i was younger i use to think to myself, "Id feel right at home in a place like that", probably because im a survivor and i have a strong survival instinct, as well as an incredible amount of luck lol. Plus I always believed that everyone in a world like that is equal. Money is useless in a world like that, so everyone is financially on a leveled playing feild. Everything is up to the imagination, always excitement and the unknown right around the corner. Maybe thats why i always enjoyed it - The adventure. Anyways, it's one of my favorite movies as well, I wont go into detail about it or the ending because i wouldnt want to ruin it for anyone who may not have seen it, but i always felt that i would be a cool anime movie as well lol.

Right now I'm eating some chocolate Ice cream and i just finished watching "The Road Warrior" or "Mad Max 2".

Those of you who may not know, here are the order of the Mad Max films:

Mad Max
The Road Warrior
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome

As i was saying, I just finished watching The Road Warrior, and i got the feeling that i wanted to put up a post lol, so here i am :) I had a great time watching The Road Warrior, especially with surround sound, which i had never done up until today lol. It's undoubtedley the most violent of the 3 movies, but each of them has their own thing that i like about them, Mostly because of Mel Gibson (the main actor)lol. Im such a big fan of movies that he is in, when i was younger i use to watch the movie "Lethal Weapon" every weekend lol. I know it sounds crazy, but i think everyone has a movie that they watch alot more than normal. I have a few, thats for sure lol. Overall, I think i like the Mad Max movies mostly because somewhere along every adventure, with the exception of the first one, Max finds a way to help someone or a group of people, directly or indirectly. I guess its a sign that shows that no matter how bitter he is about his losses or his life or the situation the world is in - there is still some humanity left in him to do something good, as if he has come to peace with himself in a way even though the world is crumbling around him.

Other than that, i havent been up to much. Ive been tryng to catch up on sleep the past few days since i really havent had anything to do. Heck, i even pulled out my Nintendo 64 monday and played a couple of games lol, thats pretty old-school right there :) lol. I'll have to see if i can get some pics of me playing it sometimes soon lol.

Well, i hate to go, but i gotta head to bed to get some rest for work tonight, I just thought id put up a post real quick and let you all know that i havent dissappeared or anything lol. I thank you all for visiting and i hope to chat with you all sometime soon :)

A Long Kiss Goodnight

Hello everyone,

It's been a few days since i last posted, I was planning on posting yesterday, but i ended up falling asleep lol.

Im posting today though, so hopefully i can cram everything that ive been up to the past couple of days, into this post lol.

To be honest i havent really been up to much, this past week at work was pretty easy and friday morning when i got off work i bought the Season 6 Box Set of Dragonball Z, (The Cell Games saga). I also bought a 2 disc dvd volume of Cyborg 009 which includes the first 8 episodes of the series, uncut and unedited.

External Image

I really enjoyed watching the DBZ box set, with it being uncut and everything, there was alot more blood than there was back in the day when i recorded the episodes on Cartoon Network, I also noticed that there were some dialouge changes too - They called Hercule: "Mr. Satan" rather than "Hercule". And if im remembering right, when they were showing the series on Cartoon Network, they strictly called him Hercule. I may just be remembering wrong though, ill have to pull out my tapes and check, its been bothering me for the past couple of days lol. It was also good to see the episodes in tatal clarity. They have all been remastered visually and the sound has been cleaned up too. I had the surround sound turned up pretty loud while i was watching it on my computer friday lol. The last few episodes of the Cell games were some of my favorite and it was awesome to relive them, I wont go into detail on what goes down because i wouldnt want to spoil it for those who may not have seen those episodes yet, but i will say that watching Yamcha Piccolo, Tien and Krillin attack Cell with an all out assault, and continue to get up everytime he knocked them down - will probably always be my favorite anime moment of all time :)

As for Cyborg 009, i havent taken the time to watch some of it yet. I recorded an episode or two a few years ago when it was showing on Cartoon Network, but ill admit i wasnt too much of a fan of the character design, mostly because of the diverse look of each character for example their noses, facial appearance). I wont let that keep me from checking it out though, sometimes anime is like food, one day you may not like it, but eventually you try it one day and you find yourself liking it or some aspect of it lol, so im sure ill watch some of it before the day is over :)

Yesterday (Saturday), I traded in a game at Gamestop and used the credit to buy

Star Wars Battlefront (xbox)
Metal Saga (PS2)
Enclave (xbox)
Return to Castle Wolfenstein (xbox)
Wrestlemania 19 (Gamecube)

Ive played them all a little bit except for Metal Saga, im sure ill be playing it in a little while, and from what ive seen in the instruction manual - it looks like it will be pretty fun :) ill update more about the other games on my other world , so keep an eye open :)

Today i havent been up to much, this morning i woke up around 2am from some weird dreams. It was pitch black in my room and the only light was from the blinking light on my computer because it had gone into standby mode. I must have been delirious and somewhat still asleep because i had the strangest belief that someone was laying right next to me. I know its weird, I just figured that i wasnt totally awake or something, I just rolled out of bed and turned the bathroom light on real quick in one fluid motion and when i noticed that no one was in here, i was just glad that no one else was in here to see me look like an idiot lol. I spent most of the morning working on some wallpapers and when the sun came up i went outside and mowed part of the back yard. After a while, i came back in and started watching a movie on tv called "The Long Kiss Goodnight". I had never seen the entire movie before i but i was able to see most of it until close to the end, then i started watching a football game. Right now ive decided to watch "Mad Max : Beyond Thunderdome", it's one of my favorite post-apocalyptic movies and i came across my vhs copy a few days ago while i was cleaning my shelves, so ill be watching that as soon as i finish this post lol.

Here are some links to 2 of the 3 wallpapers i made this morning, so check them out if you like and let me know what you think :)

Dont be alarmed, im not a wierdo or anything, this is one of the pics that i took a few years ago when someone requested me to paint my face like Brandon Lee's character from the movie "The Crow". Im posting it for a friend who asked me about it recently lol, hope you enjoy Enin :)

Hello everyone,

It's good to find time to post today lol, I originally didnt think id have enough time because i fell asleep pretty much as soon as i got home from work this morning lol. I recorded the Dallas vs. Philadelphia football game last night, so i started watching it when i got home this morning. I didnt last too long before i passed out lol.

Im glad to hear that the weather here has started moving towards Fall now, its been alot cooler since the hurricane came through here, which is nice since its been a long hot summer, and a humid summer too, pretty miserable if you ask me lol. Its good to feel the cold weather again, it seems as though its been a good while since it's been here, but maybe not that long i suppose lol.

Other than that i havent been up to much the past couple of days. Yesterday i created 2 Ghost in the Shell wallpapers, and i started working on a Samurai Champloo wallpaper as well. I also watched the first Ghost in the Shell movie, and volume one of Samurai Champloo. It seems that everytime i watch Ghost in the Shell i enjoy it more and more each time. It's so intriuging and thoughtful, always keeping your mind moving and thinking, and the animation is still top of the line - even compared to alot of the newer stuff nowdays. Im sure ill be making wallpapers for this movie and of the 2nd movie and series in the future :)

As for Samurai Champloo volume one, I really enjoyed that dvd too. It had been a couple of years since i had watched it and to be honest, i enjoyed it more this time around than i did the last. I didnt remember it having that much violence and adult situations in there the first time around, but it was still fun to watch and i really enjoyed the characters and the situations they managed to end up in lol, Id reccomend it to anyone thats for sure :)

Here are some clips of the 2 wallpapers that i made yesterday in case anyone missed them :)

I hope you enjoy the wallpapers and if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know, im always looking for something to do lol :)

Well, i sppose that will be all for today, I think im going to work on this Samuarai Champloo wallpaper a little, then lay back down before i have to go to work tonight. I thank you all for visiting and i hope you enjoyed the post :)
