CUTTHROAT ISLAND! I used to love that movie when I was younger. Yeah, there are definitely similarities between Cutthroat Island and Pirate of the Caribbean. But Cutthroat Island will always have a place in my heart because of the nostalgia factor. Nothin' like booze, guns, swords and a monkey to liven up a very cliched but entertaining pirate film. The action scenes were pretty well done too. Man, I wanna watch it again..
Same goes for The Abyss. Once again, I saw it when I was younger and the nostalgia comes flooding back. It was an interesting movie, but it kind of scared me back then since I fear deep water and I can't swim. Of course I can watch it now without feeling freaked out, but it sure messed with my head back then.
I wish I had watched episodes of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series completely and in order. I've only seen episodes here and there so I don't know the details I should. Maybe one day I can get myself a copy of series' and films and catch up.
I do remember though, that my favourite character is Rei. I tend to have a thing for the socially withdrawn characters (although she gradually changes in the series). I get an attachment to those types (both in anime and real life) with hopes that perhaps I'd be the one to bring someone like them out of their shell.. Get what I mean?
*laughs* Ah, the portable screen. That thing must've been beyond handy! Good times, eh?
By the way... I'd totally love to see you fully made up as Brandon Lee's Crow. You'd take the prize for sure!
As always, it's great seeing you post. Hope to see ya around, bro!

It was great talking to you! I so rarely have time to be chatting anymore so it;s always nice when I get some good company out of my free time.
