Hello and welcome to my WORLD~ My name is Yoji and it is a pleasure to meet you. This is my Life world, the place where Ill write about the various events and happenings that take place during my everyday life. From the strange to the daring, if it happens to me it's probably going to end up on here.

About Me~

I'm a twenty-one year old guy from jolly old England. I moved to the state of Texas when I was sixteen and lived there for a good five and a half years before moving back to the UK. In my spare time I like to read, fence and generally goof off. My star sign is Capricorn and I was born in the year of the snake. My favorite fruit food is the strawberry and I'm more of a manga fan than an anime fan. Well, I like books in general~

And that's that, for now. If you want to learn more then you're gonna have to read or talk to me~

Enjoy your visit~

April Showers.

My job hunting has had very little success since I last posted. The area seems to have an abundance of apprenticeship courses, but I can't qualify for any of them, despite been a UK born national, because I need to have spent a minimum of three years in the country prior to application to be considered. So, that leaves me with only call centers and cleaning jobs that don't require a driving license to choose from, but such vacancies are few and far between. I can't even apply for most college courses under the same rule.

It's hard out there for a pimp job hunter.

So that leaves me with one viable option. Well, two if I can stomach prison food and fashion a shank out of a bar of soap. a career in the armed forces~ More precisely, the Royal Navy, since I don't like spiders. I have an appointment set up for the initial interview in two weeks. Or three. It depends on an upcoming bank holiday. I'm gonna shoot for something engineery, that way I can get paid to learn something I'm already interested in~

My only obstacles are a grade transcript form that has yet to arrive and the dreaded physical fitness test, which requires a lot more cardio than actual strength, it turns out. So that's how I've been spending my time between job hunting, by exercising six days a week. Picking up heavy things then putting them down again for extended periods of time and stuff.

All that repetitive motion has done wonders for my chest and shoulders~ But my arms still lack something to be desired. But, that should be behind me, in six to twelve months. The whole navy recruitment process can take up to eighteen months, but it's still a whole lot faster than my other options.

Wish me luck~

KILL HIM!

I've had a pretty eventful few weeks lately. I called up the cake factory I worked at last Monday and they told me that the downturn will last two more months, two months more than my savings will last. so I applied for unemployment aid again. I'm not too happy about that, not working blows and you can't do much on 50 a week other than pay bills and go job hunting, but it's better than nothing at all.

I got over my recent bout of tonsillitis around Wednesday and wound up spending the night at my hipster friend's place on Saturday. It had been close to two weeks since I last spent time with my him and apparently he had missed me quite a bit. We wound up watching Predator because he had two copies of the director's cut box set (He has great taste in movies) and that Kony 2012 crap had me jonesing for Carl Weathers films. We went to bed after the film and, before we could fall asleep, his drunk lesbian mother called him to say some pretty embarrassing things. Well, embarrassing for him. It was kind of cute/funny watching him trying to play it cool/apologizing about the situation.

Unable to sleep after the call, we wound up chatting about a few things, most of which I can't repeat on here in great detail due to the TOS. Turns out he thinks I'm "beautiful, but dress terribly." which was odd considering he owns a Rhianna hoody, several Lady Gaga shirts and more accessories than I can count, some of which have a Twilight brand on them. I mean, I dress American Casual 90% of the time, it's not like I dress like a hobo. Maybe I should have taken my friend K's advice when I described him to him and just "KILL HIM!" with "FIRE!"...? Then again, arson is a hell of a lot of work and, if I followed through, I probably wouldn't be able to watch movies with him anymore.

I woke up before him the next day and wound up waking him up the "Nice" way by kissing and gently blowing on the nape of his neck. We then watched the Jerry Springer musical, had toast and went to the bus station to part ways. We didn't have much to chat about on the walk there, but he gave me a pretty big hug when my bus arrived and asked me to let him know when I got home.

I think he might be getting attached to me, which isn't exactly a bad thing, but it is odd. Our relationship is essentially that of "good friends" if ya know what I mean. It's pretty much the only kind of relationship I've ever had with another guy excluding the LDRs of my teenage days. Actually dating someone would be new for me, and rather unknown.

Hardly Working.

The factory worked me like a bee up until Valentines Day, at which point they outright told me there wouldn't be any more work for the month. So between work been slow and nobody else hiring, my options have been rather limited. Hell, couldn't even get anything from their main branch and its large contract area.

I thought about hopping on unemployment again but it'll only be for a week more and I have more than enough to get by. Not to mention I wouldn't be able to hit my job application quota given the lack of careers that don't require accredited certification.

So, to kill time, I've been social. Making friends locally and stuff, borderline dating, even. I've gone on two with this one guy, watching movies and stuff, and so far so good. He's an arts major working on his PhD in thearter. He also teaches dance at the local gym, has quite a few tattoos, loves Final Fantasy, dresses like a hipster and is both younger and taller than me. Why he's attracted to someone as introverted and borderline insane well planned out as me is anyone's guess.

I should start work again some time next week with some luck. If I can I might take up wood working, something constructive to kill time, since a kindle can only keep a charge for so long.

Down Time.

I pretty much had all of last week off work. Low order volume means a low work demand and all, so no pay. Work should pick up next week, though I should probably look for another job if it keeps up.

The last ad on here really slowed down my computer, so I'm fairly glad to see it gone. It took me close to five mins to check my messages on Wednesday because it kept interfearing with the touch interface.

I'm going to order a weight set if I get enough hours this week and start exercising again. My core strength isn't what it use to be, I could barely manage half my normal number of sit-ups. At least I can still hit my target on crunches though.

Droid.

My Archos tablet arrived yesterday, freeing me from the limitations of a manual connection~ However, I do have to admit that this OS does have some notable limitations (No FireFox compatability, trouble with .gif files and pop up comment boxex, few practical apps and no spell check) but I'm sure its nothing a little practice won't fix~

I seem to be getting a lot of time in the cleaning department at work lately, washing all sorts of industrial kitchen things. Not that working there is a bad thing, just a really wet thing that turns into a really cold thing when I walk home in the middle of the night. I am making some friends there though and thats pretty interesting. One of my supers is hardly trustworthy though, been nineteen and full of ill planned trickery~

I should be getting a phone upgrade next weekend, trading in my brick for one of those smart phones that seem to be all the rage now days. Should be fun to have a camera again~
