lol, yeah, that's why a LOT of my stuff on dA isn't even on here... *le sigh*
Maybe I should find another art community as well? Are there any you'd recommend? I'm on MangaBullet, but I haven't logged into my account in FOREVERRRR! @^@;
Ah, I never did think about the median age... :/
I need more mature friends. XD
Thanks for the criticism, I know I can always count on you to give some when I ask. ^_^
I know, the head IS a little large... I guess that was just the mood I was in when I drew it. And, yes, the shading is supposed to be cel-shaded (all, except the skin... I was experimenting with color techniques and combos with this pic, if you couldn't tell. XD)
Thanks again! It helps me feel a bit better. ^_^ *hugs*

True, popularity plays a larger part than it should. But, that's just a symptom of the times. Look at the median age of this site's members. Fourteen year old girls tend to prefer the cute over the details. Most people just look at the picture and type the first thing that pops into their heads as a response. This will change as the median age matures, but it will take a while.
What you need are more mature fans to get feedback from, preferably people you haven't befriended. They tend to be more honest and constructive with their feedback.
While I'm at it, ill comment on here concerning your recent work, because it's faster than writing two separate comments:
*Looks at Inari, the rice fox.*
Your points of shade and light on his hair are too close together, it makes his bangs look like they're solid. Try putting a little distance between 'em next time. You might also want to try blurring your colors when they interact with each other so they appear softer and more natural, unless you're going for a cell shaded look, of course. Finally, his head is extremely large. 0.0 I like the detail you put into his outfit but that giant head of his spoiled it for me. It seems to scream "I'm cute!!!!! Pay attention!!!!!!!" while his body gives off a more subtle air. Try to keep everything proportionate and within the same context next time. Don't mix Super Deformed with any form of subtly, they mix as well as Chinese food and sharp cheddar.
Aww Yosei :( I'm sorry, I look at all your art and I love it and when I see something off, I want to like tell you maybe how I would fix it you know, but I just don't really like to comment unless it's just a reply to someone:( I'm sorry I hope your stress gets better^^
agree agree agree, i get comment, only to say 'cute' 'thats great'-- i need rants or any other words to describe the pic good bad or something D:, same old same old...well i appreciate them, but i want something different for a change as well, there are very few who i see are different. Maybe ask people in description next time to comment something bout it or suggest etc. the popularity its true, ur arts are wonderful, when u spend the most of it, thos are the ones unappreciated, its really pointless, where is the effort comment bout this D: its like that, argh, oh well, jsut ask them next time, im sure they will write even though its onl a couple of users
I agree I don't like Popularity too. And I know how that feels like one member say that she can do better art than me or something like that and I don't pay any mind on what they say. I do my art for me not for anyone...Yosei do your drawing for the love on your own creation. I LOVE ALL YOUR ART I told my aunt about your drawin and everyone else. Sorry that your stress yosei... :(
