Quick news. Note: this is not the contest I was talking about in the Update.
Shonen Jump, the distributer of the Yu Yu Hakusho manga, is having a contest. By filling out a form, 10 winners will receive the YYH Season One Box Set (the one I was telling about a month ago) and a Shonen Jump T-shirt.
Official Rules
- Entries must be received by July 31, 2008.
- Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are age 13 or older and located in the United States or Canada at the time of entry.
Sorry people of Quebec and others outside North America. I am also assuming everyone here is 13 and up since you have to be to join theOtaku. Good luck to all who enter.

Hello everybody!
In response to my lack of updates, I spent three hours updating the site. I added five new chapters, including Chapters Two-Five of Katana, and Part Six: END of Yoko Kurama Story. I also made a Quick Links page for Katana, and added a picture for the Yoko Kurama Story Quick Links (there is one for Katana as well).
Regarding for upcoming events for the YYH Brigade, we will have much more fan fiction added, thanks to Refi-chan. We also have many more chapters of Katana. And since we have been adding one picture per every Quick Link page, I’m going to encourage members to send in a picture to go with their fan fiction in the future (this is optional though). If anyone has any questions about this, PM me. I also have two larger plans in mind:
- I am thinking about making a weekly YYH fanart page with fanart by members. All you have to do is if you make an YYH fanart, you just need to PM me with the link. I’m going to extend our reach and say that it does not have to be from theOtaku, as it can be from DeviantART or wherever I can save to post it. All who agree with this idea, say “I”. Any suggestions are welcome
- I am also thinking about releasing our first contest. But first I would like to know who would be willing to participate, as I would not want to start this with no one to enter. Roughly, the contest will be to create a logo for the YYH Brigade. Let me know if you would be willing to enter and I will post more information of what I am looking for, rules, etc. To let you know (half in response to the recent theO contest) that there will be at least (probably more) judges besides me.
That pretty much wraps up the update, I believe. If have more to say, I will post another update. As for now, make sure to look at everyone’s fan fiction!
