Chapter 3
I was surrounded by dark, with random purple lights appearing ever now and again. "Child..." said a voice. "Your will to make yourself is strong... Shadows of a person can be manipulated to any extent, but the person won't change... There is someone you are looking for, but you will find another even more dear to you... For now, I will join you..." Purple cat like eyes formed in the dark, and after came a large, panther like outline. Slowly, it all faded to black...
I felt like I was falling, and suddenly I was flat on the ground, stomach down. Then there were bodies piling on top of me. "Aghoof!" I exclaimed. "Get yer butts off me!" I growled up.
"Maybe you should work on your landings, pork bun!" growled Kurogane to Mokona.
"Oh hush! Mokona is just as new to this as we are!" said Fai smiling brightly. Just then, a strong wind swept by. Something came off Syaoran's cloak, previously unseen.
"A feather!" I gasped. "It was on you the whole time!" Syaoran whipped around. He reached out for it, and it flew just out of his grip. Suddenly, a blue ball of light flew by right where his hand had been.
"What the hell was that?!" growled Kurogane. Syaoran handed Sakura to me and pursued the feather further, regardless of the prior warning shot.
"Hey! You guys better get out of here!" called a voice. A guy, older than me, but younger than Kurogane, stood on the top of a building. "You might end up in the middle of a... Crap! Take cover!" he called. Looking around, I dived behind a overturned bus. More people were standing behind the guy. On a building facing theirs, guys in mohawks appeared. Most were green, but one was pink. The guy was short and plump.
"We've returned! We will have this nice piece of land!" said the guy with the pink mohawk. The other guy that we had first seen again.
"Won't you get over it? People here are trying to rebuild!" he said.
"Doesn't matter! Let's fight!" Some of the green mohawks jumped down from the building, and some people that were with the other guy jumped down. Syaoran was jumping up, half a second away from grabbing the feather. He grabbed it, landed, and barely avoided several balls of light fired from the out stretched fists of the croonies on each side. He ran bavck to us and we headed for safety.
A few bliocks away, we were in a bustling street. "Hey! You travelers!" called somebody. I looked over to see a man standing there. "Looks like you need a hand! Come with me!" he motioned for us to follow. With a few reluctant glances at eachother, we shrugged and followed him. He lead us to his apartment, and introduced himself and his wife to us. I wasn't paying attention, because I was caught up in everything. The plants, the room... They all seemed so normal, yet strange.
Next thing I knew, I was watching a puppet show. I sweat dropped a little. "Welcome to the Republic of Hanshin!" said the guy.
