Make no mistakes, this is a pretty picture, and that's all. It's hard to do more with Misaki Matsuya from Excel Saga, but then again, there is no need to do more! Some character designs are fun to work with because they allow more visually oriented designs.

I originally painted this in 2005 (wow), but I recently did some additional touch-ups to it (minor shading). I guess I can say that it was finally completed in 2008. As usual, this was painted primarily with acrylics; the secondary watercolors served as shading and toning. It was inked after the painting was done. The background is a new CG creation, and the patterns are my own designs.
