Another project I accomplished for my art class. The goal was to draw something shiny next to something not shiny. I hope she appreciates my use of creativity here instead of just positioning a shiny coin next to paper. I thought that would have been to bold.
I did blend my paper before drawing to help capture the shadows. But I think I failed at my lighting on the class tea cup. It was very difficult for me to erase the marks already made.
Another difficulty for me was drawing the leaves. It wasn't until after a couple of them I colored that I actually got a good technique.
This is just a portion of the image. I wasn't able to scan the full picture because the actual size of the image was 18x12 inches.
