Diana Wynne Jones passed away yesterday. She will always remain my favorite childhood author.

The first time I came into contact with her books was in elementary school when my teacher read Witch Week aloud to us. In junior high, I could not stop until I had finished the Chrestomanci and castle series. Since then, I've read Conrad's Fate when it was published, but regretably have not read any of her other books.

I would have liked to draw Sophie as I originally pictured her before the movie came out, but I can't recall. This summer, I want to reread these two series with the new addition to each that I previously did not know about, as well as some others. Feel free to leave recommendations.
