This is a celtic myth where the brief story is there once was a king in north west wales, about only a couple of miles away from where I live the was a king, he had horses ears, he was ashamed of them so he kept them under a turben thing, but every once in a while he needed his hair cut, so he told employed a hairdresser to cut his hair but he made him swear never to tell anyone about his ears, the hair dresser did so, buit the burden of the secret made him ill, a doctor told him to tell the secret to some to the earth, the hair dresser did so, and he was relived. A fe months later reeds grew in the place he had told the secrtet to the ground, and a piper came to cut a reed to make a new pipe and he was on his was to the kings castle for a feast. when the piper played his pipe in at the castle, the only sound it would make was, "Mae gen y ffrenin clystia marh" (the king has horses ears) so the whole cort hurd, the king showed his ears to his people, but the people didn't laugh or lose respect for him, but they accepted him. SO the king was no longer affried of showing his ears! The end <- rushed version.
There are so many great myth stories, I just feel rather daft for chosing such a lame story
