These are two of my OC's from the same story :> They are Atlantians, which are kind off like merfolk but are descendants of merfolk and humans *in the story*. They have a monarchy and elite military.

The girl with the pink hair is a royal guard, her duty is to protect the idiot prince. The guy behind her is the official mage and advisor of the royal court. His job is to protect civillian and international relationships (by international, I mean keeping "accidents" between mermaids and atlantians to a minimum) Apparently they're engaged to each-other, but Idk if thats how its going to go if I actually get around to the story >__>'
