My first drawing of 2013! OK, so I started it last year. Whatever.

This is one of my OCs. Namely Jon from "Destination". There's this scene in the story where he explains about the tattoo on his left shoulder. So I decided to draw that.

I decided to reference a pose from a "how to draw" book called "Mastering Manga" (it's a good guide, by the way). I figured that I had been drawing out of my head and not improving much, so I decided to go back to basics.

I like how his face and hair came out. I also think I did a pretty good job shading.

The biggest problems I see are that his head is too small (or his hand is too big), I have blue colored pencil smudges all over the place, and there is no background. But I didn't know what to do for a background. So I left it as empty space.
