The non-related tidbit for today is that after I lost round 2 of my work's air hockey tournament to the CEO (though it was a looooong match), I went back to my desk and scribbled some hug poses. Then those turned into this. And then I was like "man I'm supposed to be making more complex and original illustrations". This is instead the path I choose.

So as time goes on (you know, like, the couple weeks it's been) and we find out more stuff about plans for 12 and series 8, a lot is being said about how the Doctor won't be "boyfriend" material anymore, and how 12 is going to be all like, dark and "a monster" and crap. I have to hand it to the Whouffaldi tag on Tumblr for being able to see past the catch phrases and hooks and keep their chins up (I'm with you!). I'm not going to sit here and argue ships, that's not my job, but I will say this: if you are worried about 12 being "dark and edgy", don't be. Like seriously, as long as he doesn't pull a 6 and spontaneously try to strangle his companion, I think we're going to be fine. Doctor's still the Doctor, and if you've never seen Classic Who, you owe it to yourself to check out some to garner a wider perception of the man. It'll help construct a more solid image and give you more things to reference.
