It's been two years.

TWO YEARS.

If I hadn't looked at my Portfolio the other day, I never would've even realized it. Hence, I was totally unprepared and basically only had time for a sketch of my 2-year fanart. magically whipped up a better version of my 2-year fanart digitally.

Hoo-eeee. It's been a rough two years.

But don't get me wrong, I have loved every day of it.

In the past two years, I've learned so very much about what it means to be an artist, as well as to have an artistic voice in this black hole we all lovingly call the internet. Because let's face it, once you're sucked in, there is NO going back.

I have made so many wonderful friends here, and while some have come and gone, and some are here to stay, I will always remember each and every one of you as long as I walk this occasionally-forsaken rock we call Earth.

To those of you that I haven't forged a friendship with yet, or to those that I'm not as close to as I'd like to be, I sincerely hope to make even more close friends in the next year.

TheOtaku has, in a way, become a part of my identity. No longer "just an art site," this place has become a sphere of influence upon my thoughts and actions and has really shown me (through only a slightly-rose-colored lens) what the rest of the big, scary world is like and how best to go about tackling and conquering it.

You guys have seen me at my worst, and at my best; through good times and bad; helped me survive the first two years of high school; and provided invaluable support through anything and everything from dealing with idiot friends to finding my first boyfriend. (Serious moment break: He's actually going to ask my dad for permission to date me. HYEEEE~)

For all your love and support, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. If I could think of a more eloquent way to say it, it still wouldn't be sufficient enough to express the depth of my gratitude.

Let's hope that my presence on theO will start to grow again; I really miss being here every day, posting art, and being in-the-know about not just the lives of others, but about all the happenings and trends of the internet.

Let's make it another great two years, eh? ;)
