My original characters, Tani & Jishin. Easily my favorite OCs! I’ve drawn them more than any other characters, though most of those drawings just reside in my sketchbooks.

These two, once childhood friends that had grown distant and bitter toward each other, were forced to become partners if they wanted to pursue a Calling as Scouts. They now travel the continent together on missions for their king, building a reputation for their impressive teamwork, and the volume and frequency of their arguments.

I imagine a lot of people are familiar with this already, but the string is the "red string of fate," an idea from a Chinese legend that says two people who are destined to be together are connected by an invisible red string. I’ve always wanted to use it in one of my pictures!
