I have no idea what to title this.
ANYWAY, check it out guys. I finished something! :DDDD This was actually pretty quick, for me. Two weeks to sketch and color. THINGS ARE A LOT EASIER WHEN YOU CUT OUT DOING LINE ART...
(note: I hate doing line art.)
I'm trying to work on completing some prints and keychains before the Nekocon artist alley applications, which is on... May 24th, I think? So far, prints I've done are these here: [1] [2] [3] [4] (though idk if I'm gonna stick to all of them.) I need at least 50% original work (rather than fan work) for Nekocon's regulations, and I want to cap the prints at 10 different prints... there are also keychain designs that I'm working on, but I haven't finished those yet. BUT IDK, idk if I'm even gonna get accepted. xD; I just wanna have some stuff to show for the application...;;;
But yeah. I'm actually really surprised with how this came out! :o I kept expecting the sketched "line art" to make it look rougher, but it came out cleaner than I thought it would. *u*b I also feel like I learned a couple more things about how I want to do cell shading, which is good. :^D
The only things I have a problem with is the boring background (though it works well enough, I suppose), and the gold jewelry. Idk how to shade spheres, it seems... orz I think it's just 'cause it's difficult in cell shading, which relies more on sharp edges or something. But it's also just that I don't like shading the color yellow, aha;;; BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I had a lot of fun working on this picture. Hopefully I'll get some more things done in time for the Nekocon application.........!
Maybe not this week, though, 'cause I've got finals and stuff. orz WEH.
Thanks for viewing, though! c:
