This is for Kazama/TDE's This x That challenge. First of all, thank you for a very cool challenge, TDE!

The prompt that I used was "Draw Character A in the art-style of the medium that Character B is from".

When I was looking at this challenge the other day trying to decide what to do, the idea hit me: Deku from My Hero Academia in the art style of Hiroyuki Asada / Tegami Bachi (manga)! After all, I've been equating Deku with Tegami Bachi's "crybaby hero", Lag, all through the end of this latest arc of BnHA. I did the original drawing in a frenzy to get it down before the flash of inspiration was gone.

I basically used this image from the anime version of BnHA as a framework and Lag as a stylistic reference. Hiroyuki Asada uses a lot of solid black shadows, so that was REALLY scary to do (XD) but in the end made it look really striking! (Though I did lose a lot of the texture/detail in his hair.) I had a lot of fun with this!
