So for Day 18, Elric-chan got us to show how we draw folds in clothes.
Luke was my guinea pig here an I dressed him up in different clothes... The weird thing is that when I think about how I draw fabric folds, I don't do very well^^' So this ended up being a challenge!
And I added a floppy Chinese Shar pei <3
Anyway, random tips from me~ Don't make a big deal over folds when you draw them. They need to be natural and done in a spur-of-the-moment.
But beforehand, forget spur-of-the-moment and definitely take the time to research and observe folds in pictures or actual clothing. Sometimes I go around tracing the air as I follow folds I see xD just to get it stuck in my head, since it can be confusing! So observation and ref pictures are a must! Study the body poses underneath the clothing too to help with direction of folds!
Also, if you keep having to erase you're folds, just stop doing them, take a break, and try later with a simpler method. If I'm erasing my folds more then twice, then I'm doing it wrong :/
