The theme for day 7 was something with water, so I wanted to draw a mermaid. I like mermaids for some reason; always have, as far as I can remember (or at least, since The Little Mermaid came out XD). I'd pretend I was a mermaid even in my tween years (and teen years) by wearing my flippers in the pool and keeping my ankles as close together as possible when I swam.

So I think I've created a new character here; I think having a red and black non-villain mermaid is an interesting idea.

Edited in Photoshop Elements 10 to fix a few coloring details (and to add the WATERmark, of course XD)
