I was walking alone because I somehow ended up way ahead of my classmates and I was thinking about how sad and lonely and pitiful I was when suddenly they all came running up to me and Kanako-chan said this to me. I was floored. I forget whether I said thank you in Japanese or English but I hope she could tell how grateful I was in my voice.
