Description: An engineer's son who followed Natalya and Ilarion into the palace when they accidentally left the gate open. He is a headstrong boy who is convinced that he is worthy of being a knight even though he doesn't know how to use a sword. Because he often teases Natalya (on behalf of his crush on her), Nikifor is liable to beatings from Alistair. As a result of his bad manners, he is disliked by everyone in the castle except Olga, his only true friend. Nikifor commonly adds the word "totally" into his sentences and occasionally cusses to act "grown up" like the knights.

Hobbies: Teasing Natalya, pulling pranks, and collecting toy trains

Other Notes: Nikifor used to be bullied for having big ears, something that the girls still poke fun at. His wood cross is a sort of peace treaty between him and Natalya; as long as it exists, he isn't allowed to invade her bubble of personal space. Lachlan gives Nikifor fencing lessons every weekend after lunch and dinner so he may one day become a good knight.

Originally Nikifor's last name was going to be Sokolovskii but I thought it sounded too much like Ilarion's last name, Voroshilovski. It's now just his middle name. I love ugly, hard to pronounce names; European names sound so cool.
His design turned out pretty nice, imo! I wanted his hair to be a baked cookie dough color, his eyes were just kinda randomly painted. He's a unique character in the story, the only male teenager. Personally, I hate teenage boys, they think they are cool trying to be like an adult or do stupid things to test their manliness. I created Nikifor for the sole purpose of expressing my loathing for teenagers.
