Zelig is looking particularly delicious in that first panel, if I keep drawing him that good I might have to date him :(
Concerning the story: singing towers need a reason to ring, the false ones ring out of sorrow because they were the spires of old cathedrals that were never built. Authentic singing towers ring because within them is a stanza of an ancient song that could break the Perovskian monarch apart. Regular bell towers can ring if a spell is placed on them and are given any reason to ring (such as sadness caused by the burning of the embassy)
