I was inspired to make this by two stories I heard yesterday on the news.
First is about 2 dogs who both survived the tsunami, but one of them was seriously injured. The 2 dogs just happened to find eachother and when the wounded dog couldn't move anymore the other one didn't leave his side. He searched food, and even when he couldn't find it, he returned to his friend. When the authorities came the healthy, but starved and thirsty dog, greeted them and took them quickly to his friend. They were both saved in the end. In conclusion I think people have a lot to learn from animals, and the strong, pure bonds they create.
Watch the story here.
The second story is about rebuilding. Roads damaged by the earthquake to the point where they were completely cracked and in places a part of the road was over 1 meter lower than the other, were repaired in 4 days. I was awe struck by this. The amazing speed of rebuilding and the calm, hopeful attitude of the Japanese people is something the world should look up to.
Now I only pray that Fukushima's reactor doesn't cause a nuclear explosion. If radiation is out of the equation, Japan wouldn't even take 1 year to rebuild.
