Song: Home by the Sea by Genesis

Here's my entry for DistantStar's Beautiful to Me challenge (which will also get us all one step closer to reaching the Challenge Slam goal). This is also my first Digimon wallpaper, and hopefully not my last (depends of if I can find more images that I can use). Anyway, thought long and hard about something that I consider to be beautiful. In the end I decided to go with the ocean, which has always seemed to captivate me. At the same time I also find the ocean to be a little frightening as well. In some of my most whacked out dreams I find myself walking through dimly lit aquariums that contain giant squids, large sharks, and creatures that are all products of my twisted subconscious. Although a few of them could possibly exist in the deepest and darkest depths of the ocean.

This also tries to capture both that beauty and terror at the same time, by using a screenshot from a particular episode the Digimon anime that did successfully do just that. I also used a rain texture to not only enhance the depressing aspect of the image, but also capture something else that I find beautiful, a rainy day. I find rainy days to be quite relaxing, and I like the smell of the rain. Plus many romantic scenes have taken place outside in the pouring rain. Enjoy.
