I've been working on this wallpaper since shortly after this challenge was posted. I immediately liked the idea, but I knew it would be quite a bit of work for me. I went through several shows (thinking of the different news stories that each one could have) before thinking of this show and it clicked into place. Then came the interesting challenge of actually having to write two separate news stories. I had the first one written in a very short time (honestly, I think it wrote itself) but the second one was a bit more difficult.

I honestly cannot recall how long it actually took me to write it. Finally, I just sat down and forced myself through it. Personally, I'm pretty happy with the way everything turned out. I'm sure it's nothing I would want on my desktop (it's way too busy for me) but I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

A few random notes - none of the numbers on the wallpaper were arbitrarily chosen. Every number represents something in the GetBackers anime/manga history. (Just please don't ask me what because it has been sitting on my computer so long that I cannot remember.) And also, I realize that the likely hood of an ad to be placed on the front page of a major newspaper is probably pretty low (not sure of that) but let's just say that Ban and Ginji worked for the owner/editor of the Lightning Herald and this was part of their payment.

Wow, just went to upload this and I'm glad that I did. I thought the deadline was May, not April.
