I did not realize until I decided to enter this challenge just how many wallpapers I've made with someone carrying a sword. Definitely more than I thought I had. I was browsing through the swordswoman scans at Minitokyo and came across one of Sakura Shinguji from Sakura Wars - not this one - and started looking through her scans.

When I came across this one I pretty much fell in love with it and knew that I had to use it to make a wallpaper. (Even if I didn't enter this challenge.) Of course, I had no clue what I wanted to do with the background so it took me quite a while and a lot of playing around to come up with this. And, I will admit, I am very, very happy with how everything turned out.

I love the coloring on Sakura's picture (and the pose is without a doubt my favorite of her) and I think the quote (which wasn't easy to come up with) works really well too.
