I finally managed to enter this challenge. I knew that I wanted to right from the start, but I was having some problems deciding what I wanted to do. The first idea I came up with was something like a muddy battlefield - but that is way beyond my current skill level. (And, besides, I couldn't find any workable scans from the series that I wanted to use.)

Anyway, I backburnered this challenge for awhile, working on other things, but still reminding myself that I wanted to enter. About two weeks ago I found this scan and immediately saved it. The original reason I saved it kind of fell through, but I knew that I wanted to make a wallpaper from it eventually.

So, I was playing around, mostly seeing what challenges I wanted to enter that I haven't yet, and I re-discovered this scan and this challenge. So, I thought that if I could actually get something to work, that I'd put the two together.

I will say that I am quite pleased with how this turned out. I also feel that I stretched my abilities at least a little with this.
