The request for this challenge was to make a wallpaper of the oddball on your favorite character list. The fact is that Sion Astal from The Legend of the Legendary Heroes (Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu) is quite the oddball on my list. Although I adore the guy, he so does not fit in with the rest.

I usually find myself getting attached to the guys that are... well, goofballs. Guys that are loud and brash, that are a bit of hotheads and you never quite know what to make of them. Sion is exactly none of the above. He's serious, reserved and genuinely wants the best for pretty much everyone. I also have the (basically unsubstantiated) theory that he would tend towards depression.

Now, all that being said, he has been one of my favorite anime guys since I watched the show. (Go figure.) Anyway, I'm not really sure what I was trying to do with this wallpaper - but I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

(That was odd, I've never posted a wallpaper for a challenge and never not dedicated it to the challenge creator.)
