And a lost link.

Geez, at first it was hard to come up with characters that fit the criteria, but after thinking about it enough, I came up with two of them. This is the first one, Madame Red from Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler. It makes sense that I would pick her - after all, she's the "Lady of Tragedy" for my favorite series ever. Her backstory and death are so sad, and they're what arguably makes Ciel hold on to a piece of his humanity throughout the entire series. I mean, it would be hard to shake the memory of almost being killed by your aunt, who seems to have planned it for quite a while, only for her to stop last minute as she realizes she loves you too much for her to kill you, only for her to be killed for her inability to. It's a memory that probably haunts Ciel, and one that he won't forget for quite a while.
