I know, I know. It's been ages since I posted any wallpapers here. It's just not as easy to come up with new wallpapers as it used to be, what with good raw materials being so hard to find these days. In fact this wallpaper is merely a remake of one I did last year I believe, though I kind of think of this new version as an improvement. The inspiration for this new version came from how the Synchro Summoning scenes in VRAINS have been given a major overhaul. They sort of made the summoning process look more digital to fit with the virtual world of Link VRAINS, and honestly I kind of think it's an improvement. I especially like how the surrounding area turns grey when the summoning begins, and how the lines on Yusaku/Playmaker's bodysuit go from yellow to green when he's performing it.

I wanted to try and capture how a Synchro Summon in VRAINS looks in a wallpaper. Once I managed to find a good screenshot of the Synchro Rings in a VRAINS episode for the background, everything else fell into place. I reused just about everything from the original version of this wallpaper and tweaked them a bit to fit the theme. I also decided to go a step further and get some totally new fonts. The main font by the way is based on the font for the original TRON movie, which is just super appropriate for a VRAINS wallpaper. Enjoy.
