Shhh...Don't tell anyone, but if you type : devil : without the spaces, you get a secret emoticon: . This one's dedicated to Aaron Ecker and Jeffrey Borncamp.
We're not killing myOtaku, there are some temporary issues that I understand, but we're a small site and don't have a lot of resources, so it sometimes takes time to get to them. I personally spent a lot of time redoing parts of myOtaku to keep it online after launching Version Vibrant
For example after I launched VV I noticed that comments on myO stopped working because the two were so closely linked. I spent the entire day re-coding all of comments on myOtaku but I'm not a great designer so the layout looks ugly but at least it works
Have patience friends, I still love you all
Our entire team is fixing bugs and improving issues at an awesome pace. We're going to continue and within 1-2 months, we'll be in a very good place. Thankfully 99% of the bugs are minor, most the 'core' site works.
In terms of launches, Version Vibrant was a huge success. Keep in mind:
- We changed hardware
- We re-wrote every line of code
- We have a TON of innovative and never-been-done-before features
- We redid the entire design/UI
Considering the depth of this massive undertaking, none of the problems we've faced so far have been unexpected. In fact the biggest launch problem we had--initial speed worries--wasn't even our fault, it was a general Internet issue that affected us a little more than others. As you can see the site is blazing fast now.
We're going to keep fixing and keep improving, every day. There's *nothing* that's online now that we can't make better. We have a lot of work to do, but if you have imagination, I hope you can see the potential in what we've created.
I don't think there's anything else for me to write.
