RAWR. The only reason I’m irritated is because not only do I have even MORE sunburn, but I also have numerous bug bites and not to mention NO INTERNET! >.<;;;

… Alright. Got that rant out of the way. All in all, today was a pretty good day. :3 We did have to wake up early (BLEGH) to go horseback riding, which was awesome! Especially since the last time I rode a horse (years ago) I had a traumatic experience. 0.0

Story time (feel free to skip this)! So I was at a Girl Scout camp and we had to go horseback riding for the day. Pretty cool, right? That’s what I thought at first. We got to the stables, got our horse assignments, alright, alright. Everything’s cool. I got apparently the most chill horse of all of them, her name was Lazy Girl (you can already tell where this is going). So we’re riding along the trail, having a grand old time, when toward the end just as I was getting relaxed and comfortable on Lazy Girl, she BOLTS off the trail, into the dense woods, going only-she-knows-where! I’m freaking out here – I was only like eleven at the time – and am afraid of DYING at this point because of all the trees and the branches and she was going as FAST AS SHE COULD to – guess where? To her friend who was at the front of the line. I was crying and blubbering and still panicking and freaking out and having a mental breakdown, so one of the counselors took me to the very front and led me back because I was just so DONE in my mind I couldn’t do anything.

And that brings me back to today. My horse was named Wyatt, and he was insanely chill. I mean, when were stopped for a break, he didn’t move. He was like a statue! And when we were riding, I really didn’t have to do anything. He just did his own thing, stayed on the trail (THANK GOD) and was really relaxed. Actually, I swear he could read my mind, because when I looked at him for the first time, I thought “derp” and he gave me this amazing derp-face. :3 And also when we were riding along, I was thinking back to the story I mentioned, and he seemed extra careful to stay on the trail. :3 Wyatt was really nice~. And he was a very pretty horse too; dark brown coat with black mane. He was also the smallest. XD I mean, I’m tiny, but my entire family expected my brother to get him. Let’s see… My dad’s horse was Rio, my mom got Shoto and my brother got Mallard. Or in my mind, Ducky! (Points to whoever gets that reference)

Anyhoo, we were driving along and we stopped in Mammoth Hot Springs (sadly, we couldn’t go in any of them) for a while, hiked up the mountain boardwalk path to see all the different springs, etc etc. That was probably my LEAST favorite part of the day because I was so tired at that point that I just wanted to get back to the cabin but I couldn’t. Q.Q I could tell; I was being a real b*tch. Which I’m usually not, by the way. I was snapping and being really mean and short-tempered. TT.TT

Once we got in the car to drive to our next location, I fell asleep. And I mean, like out COLD asleep. I didn’t wake up for ANYTHING. Apparently, I missed my brother and dad getting me a Coke, a bison just walking down the middle of the road and a coyote. Oddly enough, I don’t feel any regret for not being awake.

Calacite Springs Loop Trail was what I was actually really awake for. It wasn’t too bad, all things considering, and it was really beautiful. Gorgeous cliffs, a bright blue river with some whitewater parts, coursing down its own path and these really cool lava spouts that left hexagonal rock formations. It was awesome~! But it was definitely something I would only want to see once.

Fast forward and we are at a random petrified tree. Not exactly as cool as I thought. It didn’t look like a stone. It looked like a tree. ‘Nuff said.

Blah blitty blah blitty blah, and suddenly we see a BEAR. Yep. A big grizzly bear. I saw it once, went back to my summer reading book and was ready to leave. During that time, while my brother and dad were desperately trying to get pictures, I had time to get three chapters done, a game of solitaire, and was able to finish up on some character designs. True story.

After all of that, its dinner, showers, chilling, and sleep. :3 I’m tired, so imma head to bed. TJ and my dad are going fishing tomorrow, so Mom and I get to sleep in. :D Yay!
