"No, I pretty much gave up on school and resighned to the fact that my life will never be normal," "Well, I'm glad that you finally realized that," she death glared Inuyasha, he was so rude, "So, if ya' ain't studyin', wat ARE you reading?" "It's um, uh, a fighting guide! See! This guy here has a sword! See!" "So? Just 'cause some guy is swingin' a sword around don't mean anything," "Well it is!" "You? Readin' about fightin'? I don't believe it! Let me see!" "Wat?! No!" he took the book away from her anyway though, "Wat the- this isn't about fighting! This is some trashy romace junk!" "Is not!" "Boy I wish things were that easy," Kagome mumbeled to herself, Inuyasha's ears twitched and he woke up, "Wish things were how easy?" "Oh, sorry, I didn't wake you up did I?" "You did, but I don't care," "I was just reading and, well, in this book injuries are healed by some magic called 'Kido', I wish things were that easy," "Why? Don't you like healing?" "I do, but sometimes it nearly rubs my hands raw, besides, this s much cooler than using herbs and stuff," "You just live in your owne little world don't ya'?" "Hey! I take offense to that!" "Wat's your point?" "Why you-" "Just shut up," "I will not!" Inuyasha grunted, Kagme hissed, this was going to be a long day
"INUYASHA!!!!!!!" Kagome screamed, his body slammed against the wall, blood hit the dark sky and coulered the clouds red she felt numb, as if SHE were dieing, and the more life drained from his eyes, the more it drained from her heart, she would never accept that HE would die, it was impossible, something that couldn't happen, even as she saw the life draining from his perfect face, it still wasn't possible, 'You just live in your owne little world, don't ya'?' his words rang through her mind, 'So wat if I do?' she asked, 'I do too,' the answer was unexpected, as if it were really him, but it sounded too much like him, why couldn't it be? 'Sometimes, I wish the world I dreamed about were real, that the dreams I had were more than dreams, ya' no?' 'How can I NOT no?' 'Tch, yeah, you think that you can imagine something and it will become true,' 'No, if that were the case, you and I would've been together along time ago,' 'Yeah, that's the world I dream about too,' 'Then, why aren't we?' 'Do you expect an answer? After all, that's up to you, I'm not REALLY telling you this, right now, I'm imagining that I'm talking to you, the voice you hear is in your head, don't confuse this for the real thing, it isn't good,' "No, it really isn't good, is it?"
The cycle repeated again, it was nearly a routeine, sick really, how close to a routiene it was, he got injured, she healed his wounds, he slept, she waited, waited for him to wake up, waited for him to start yelling again, waited for the numb feeling in her hands to fade, waited for the numb feeling of her heart to continue,she felt pathetic, not being able to do anything but wait for those puppy dog ears to twitch to life, it felt wrong even, to do nothing but wait, but that's all she could do, because right now, she was numb
"Inuyasha!" she yelled, he turned around, "Wat?" "Aw don't be like that!" "Be like wat?" "I wish things were that easy," "Wat are you talking about?" "You no, healing," he shrugged, "You no I'm waiting, don't you?" "Waiting for wat?" "For you to wake up," "Wat?" "Open your eyes, wake up,"
Inuyasha woke up, Kagome's smile greeted him, "Inuyasha, I-" he leaped up and kissed her, pressing his lips roughly against her's, but then losening his hold and allowing the possibility of her lips to return his affection, she did, "Inuyasha," she sqeaked, "Kagome," "Inuyasha, I love you," she wispered, "I was hoping you'd say that, I love you too," they kissed once more, the numb feeling draining
